NEW CONSULTING ROOMS INTERIOR DESIGN |
PROJECT SHINE
The Brief
To create consulting rooms that were fun, vibrant and different to the usual allied health style rooms. A place that the young clients felt was for them and would enjoy coming to. Specific sensory requirements around acoustics and stimulation were provided to be adhered to.
What we did...
A vibrant colour palette was chosen to add energy and juvenile appeal, but applied strategically in accents to prevent it from becoming overbearing. Colour was used as a wayfinding tool with each room designated its own colour. Within each room, triangular shaped sections were utilised in monochromatic colour gradients to add energy and dimension (and also symbolic of the mountain these kids need to climb in terms of the journey and tasks they are assigned). The coloured doors make finding the room a fun and easy exercise the kids can do without relying on adults to navigate for them.
The use of yellow was dialled up in line with the Shine brand and grey was used to ground the overall scheme (and to strategically hide finger marks of children running their hands along the corridor!). The overall effect is a happy, uplifting, fun and welcoming space you can't but help smile when entering.
